The tour begins with a drive to the Hoover Dam for a brief photo stop. Bring
your camera for pictures of the Dam, Lake Mead and Colorado River. Travel past
Fortification Hill (built to protect the dam during World War II), habitat for
Big Horn Sheep, Black Canyon. Learn about Pioneer-Indian wars, Spanish
Conquistadors, Missionaries, Mountain Men, and Explorers/Settlers. Our next
stop is in Kingman, Arizona for a stretch break, then on to Williams Arizona,
home of Historic Route 66. Next stop is the Grand Canyon National Park with
time to explore the visitor center, Mather Point, Yavapai Point (can reach via
a short walk), Bright Angel point (the deepest and widest part). Feel free to
check out Bright Angel lodge, Rock Shop, KOLB Studio, Mule Corral, El Tovar
hotel and the Indian Hopi House. Browse gift shops and the Fred Harvey Museum.
Then you'll return to Las Vegas with a stretch break in Kingman.
